ER Veterinary Technician Location: SAGE San Francisco Schedule: Full-Time | 4/10 schedule | Swing Shift (4pm - 2am Thursday- Sunday) Compensation: Up to $40/hour + $5.50/hr shift differential (6pm-6am) Hiring Bonus: Up to $7,000 Who We Are At SAGE San Francisco we are passionate about animals and deeply committed to their care. Position Details: As a Veterinary Technician in the ER department, you will be responsible to:Triage and monitor incoming patients, including critical and fractious casesAdminister treatments, medications, oxygen therapy, and IV fluidsPlace and maintain catheters, central lines, and urinary cathetersPerform diagnostic tests (bloodwork, radiographs, ultrasound, CT/MRI)Assist in emergency procedures (CPR, thoracocentesis, pericardiocentesis)Ensure accurate documentation and communication with both doctors and pet ownersProvide supportive care for post-surgical and long-term patientsMaintain and stock emergency equipment and suppliesDemonstrate calmness, critical thinking, and teamwork under pressureOther duties as assigned QualificationsHigh school diploma required3+ years of veterinary clinical experience (specialty medicine preferred)Strong math skills for drug dosing, CRIs, and invoicingMust obtain a California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days (waived with valid CA-RVT license)CA-RVT license preferred BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts, 401(k) with match, EAPVacation and sick time accrual + uniforms providedCompetitive RVT CE allowance & reimbursement for license application/renewalPaid continuing education (CE) + monthly RACE-approved coursesCash bonuses for career milestones (RVT, VTS)Financial support & onsite mentorship toward VTS pursuitOpportunities for professional growth and advancement Hiring Bonus: RVT: $7,000 Senior VA: $5,000 Why Join Us?
