Crane Operator - Shipyard - 2nd Shift The Crane Operator and Rigger is responsible for operating a variety of heavy, specialized lifting equipment. In addition to operating, the position will be required to rig loads as needed. Duties and Responsibilities of this Position: Operate crawler cranes Operate lattice boom cranes Operate barge mounted friction cranes Operate rough terrain fork lifts and loaders Operate hydraulic cranes of various sizes Requirements of this Position: 4 years of related experience and/or training. Sitting for long periods of time. Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly 2-3 years of experience in a shipyard environment Calculating loads Certified in rigging Pouring a socket on a tow cable Educational and Experience Requirements: NCCCO - LAT(LBC) & TLL required. 2-3 years of shipyard experience Valid class B driver's license Working experience with both hydraulic and friction cranes Gulf Marine Repair is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
