Position SummaryThe RBT/BT is the heart of direct care at CHABA. You will work one-on-one with children with ASD and other developmental disabilities, implementing individualized treatment programs designed by a supervising BCBA. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, patient, energetic, and motivated to make a genuine difference in someone's life. RBT certification is preferred; however, we welcome candidates who are committed to completing their 40-hour training and pursuing RBT certification.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Therapy & Program ImplementationProvide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children with ASD and other developmental disabilitiesImplement skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as written and directed by the supervising BCBASupport learners in developing and improving communication, social, daily living, and self-help skillsMaintain a respectful, safe, and supportive environment for learners throughout all therapy sessionsAdapt to learner needs across home, school, and community settingsData Collection & DocumentationCollect accurate, reliable data on skill acquisition programs during each sessionCollect ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) data on targeted behaviorsComplete session notes and required documentation in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all timesCommunication & CollaborationMaintain open and frequent communication with the supervising BCBA regarding learner observations, progress, and concernsCollaborate with the BCBA and care team to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions across environmentsInteract professionally and warmly with caregivers and family members during sessionsParticipate in regular supervision meetings and team check-insProfessional Standards & EthicsAdhere to the BACB Ethics Code and all CHABA policies and proceduresMaintain professional and ethical boundaries with learners, families, and colleaguesUphold client dignity and a trauma-informed approach in all interactionsParticipate in required training, continuing education, and professional development opportunitiesQualifications & RequirementsPreferredActive Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the BACBPrior experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferredAvailability from 8am-8pmWill Also ConsiderBehavior Technician with willingness to complete the 40-hour RBT training and pursue RBT certification upon hireExperience working with children in any capacity (childcare, tutoring, special education, camp, etc.)Strong desire to learn, grow, and build a career in the ABA fieldSalary$19 - $24 per hour recblid pq68r45cq11j8a4lx6ss7881xim45i
