Senior Product Manager UI/UX, PLG & Activation

The Role Airbyte is becoming the standard for agentic data infrastructure. We have the connector factory, a strong presence in pure data use cases, and the foundation of our new product, ADP, which connects agents to all the pieces of data that exist within a company. This role exists to turn product usage into momentum. You will own the journey from: First visit First workspace First connector First agent Aha moment And expansion beyond that Your mission: Increase activation. Reduce friction. Compound product-led growth. What You'll Own Activation & First Value Define and instrument activation metrics Improve time-to-first-sync Improve time-to-first-value Reduce drop-off across onboarding funnel Design in-product education that drives behavior Clarify the "aha" moment for different personas You will treat activation like a system, not a checklist UI/UX Quality Bar Raise the usability bar across Airbyte Cloud and ADP Reduce cognitive load in complex workflows Simplify connectors, authentication, configuration Partner deeply with Engineering Bring clarity to technical surfaces We operate in a complex domain. Your job is to make it feel simple. Product-Led Growth Engine Own free ? activated ? paid ? expanded funnel Design and run experiments across pricing surfaces and usage limits Improve conversion without hurting trust Build upgrade prompts that feel helpful Collaborate with Marketing on growth loops and acquisition feedback PLG is not a team. It's a product discipline. You will be the owner. Experimentation & Data Discipline Define north star and activation metrics Increase experiment velocity Run structured A/B tests Build growth dashboards with real signal Kill ideas fast when signal is weak Bold views. Flexible thinking. Measured by impact. How We Work High ownership Direct feedback Fast iteration Outcome over activity Clear metrics You are expected to use AI to amplify yourself. This means using AI tools to accelerate research, prototype faster, generate UX variations, draft experiments, and automate analysis. We are building for an AI-native future. We expect our PMs to operate like AI-native builders. If you are doing everything manually, you are under-leveraged. What We're Looking For 5+ years as a PM in B2B SaaS, DevTools Experience owning activation, onboarding, or growth Strong product instinct for UX Comfort operating in technical products Deep comfort with analytics and experimentation High bar for execution speed Bias toward action Nice To Have Experience in infra, data, or developer tools Experience in PLG motions Experience building in AI-native environments Experience in early-stage (Seed/Series A) startups What Success Looks Like in 12 Months Activation rate materially higher Time to first sync reduced significantly Clear growth loops embedded in product Free ? paid conversion meaningfully up Product experience noticeably sharper Location Onsite 5 days/week in San Francisco, CA If you find this role exciting, we encourage you to apply even if you think you don't meet all of the requirements!
