Senior Logistics Analyst If you are seeking a position that engages with dynamic, high profile and challenging projects and programs supporting the U.S. Department of War (DoW), Serco has a great opportunity for you! The Senior Logistics Analyst will be part of a dynamic team supporting major systems acquisition and sustainment statutes, policy and guidance on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of War at the Pentagon. Serco has program management and sustainment contracts supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (USW (A&S)). Our staff will review, analyze, and assess functions, products and activities associated with product support of DoW systems, collectively referred to as the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements. DASW(PS)'s mission and goal are to provide the DoD with policy, processes, and guidance that foster effective, affordable product support planning and weapon system sustainment execution. You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions, recognized by the Department of War and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise. This position is contingent upon the ability to maintain/transfer a DoD Secret Security Clearance In this role, you will: Update and maintain DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.91, Product Support Management for the Adaptive Acquisition Framework and other associated sustainment policies as required. Assist with activities in support of the Acquisition Transformation Strategy as they pertain to Product Support Update and maintain related guidebooks to align with DoDI 5000.91 and the Adaptive Acquisition Framework: Prepare briefings, reports, information papers, memorandums, and other forms of communication to inform leadership and the broader life-cycle logistics community on policy related updates. Assist in developing strategic messaging and communication plans to support policy and guidebook publications. Review, assess, and draft comments as required on DoD Directions, Instructions, Manuals, Handbooks and Guidebooks staffed through the DASD(PS) office for impacts to Product Support policy. Provide congressional support to include review and analysis of all relevant draft and enacted Congressional bills, statutes, legislation, etc., insight and analysis on impacts for policy, prepare responses, Statement of Administration Position (SAP), and any actions in support of Congressional engagements. Assist with drafting legislative proposals to update US Code Title 10 statutes. Support and provide input to required Congressional reports. Review and assess applicable GAO and IG recommendations related to policy and provide feedback on policy impacts to DoDI 5000.91 and associated guidebooks. Provide support, and expertise, and recommendations to the Warfighting Acquisition University (WAU) on Product Support. Support related WAU course development and updates. This includes engineering courses that address Product Support. To be successful in the role, you will have: An active DoD Secret security clearance. A Master's degree. 15 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of DoD weapon system sustainment policy and processes Ability to conduct basic root cause analysis for underperforming product support plans. Familiarity with DoD sustainment metrics and the ability to assess and recommend corrective actions to address sustainment shortfalls. Experience with Defense Acquisition, including requirements development, RFP statement of work development, and Industry engagement. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience communicating, interfacing, and interacting with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to address weapon system. The ability to travel up to 10%. Company Overview Serco Inc.
