Senior Buyer $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year Raleigh, North Carolina Procurement & Supply Chain Permanent Overview The Senior Buyer leads procurement activities for assigned categories, focusing on raw materials, packaging, and external manufacturing. This role translates business priorities into actionable procurement plans, manages supplier performance, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Translate business needs into sourcing strategies and procurement plans Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance Ensure alignment between procurement activities and business unit priorities Promote consistent use of procurement tools, best practices, and compliance standards Oversee daily supplier performance related to quality, service, cost, and delivery Conduct supplier reviews, address performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement Build strong supplier relationships to support long-term value and supply stability Identify efficiency opportunities across procurement processes Monitor key metrics, spend data, and supplier KPIs Assess and mitigate supply risks to maintain continuity and operational reliability Partner with Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and operations to align procurement actions with business strategy Support integration of new materials, innovations, and category strategies Manage priorities across multiple projects and ensure timely execution Lead root cause analysis for supply or quality issues and implement corrective actions Support initiatives that enhance efficiency, cost performance, and supply reliability Qualifications 5+ years of supply chain and procurement experience within a dynamic, matrixed environment Experience sourcing raw materials, packaging, or external manufacturing Strong understanding of sourcing processes, RFP management, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations Proven ability to drive results in fast-paced environments and lead cross-functional initiatives Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Effective communicator with experience influencing internal stakeholders and external suppliers Knowledge of regional supply markets and trends Experience supporting manufacturing operations and direct material sourcing Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
