Required Skills: Board Certification or Eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine or Obstetrics and Gynecology with maternal-fetal specialty Proven experience in high-risk obstetrics, including managing complex pregnancies Proficiency in performing amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and managing pre-term labor and hypertensive disorders Strong knowledge of prenatal diagnostics and fetal assessments Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Nice to Have Skills: Experience supervising nurse practitioners or physician assistants Familiarity with EPIC or Viewpoint EMR systems Certification in fetal echocardiography or fetal monitoring Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Valid medical license to practice in Virginia Minimum of 2 years experience in maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics Prior locum or temporary practice experience is preferred Other Requirements: Credentialing approval within approximately 90 days Ability to provide coverage on flexible dates, including early May, late May, and beyond Willingness to travel for coverage as reimbursed, including flight, hotel, and rental car arrangements Maintenance of necessary certifications and compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations Competitive hourly pay rates provide excellent compensation for your expertise, complemented by weekly pay through direct deposit.
