Material Handler - Injection Molding - 3rd shift

Material Handler Sartstedt, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a Material Handler. Shift: 3rd Shift/+$2.00 shift differential Hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am (Monday - Friday) / Some Saturdays Department: Injection Molding Summary Ensures that injection molding machines are supplied with raw materials required to maintain a smooth flow at the work cells. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for supplying injection molding machines and work cells with required types of plastic resins and packaging materials. Maintains tracking barcode label on transport bins and transports finished bins to designated areas. Tracks and records component lot number changes to ensure accuracy of documentation. Performs cleaning and calibration responsibilities and records performed tasks on corresponding documentation. Operates forklift or pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The employee must occasionally operate a motorized forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
