The APP works collaboratively within a teaching environment alongside attending physicians, fellows, and residents while managing complex cardiovascular patients across multiple care settings.Clinical Services Inpatient general cardiology service Post-interventional and electrophysiology procedure care Academic, team-based care modelCommon Diagnoses Managed Acute coronary syndrome Heart failure Cardiac arrhythmias Pericarditis Post-procedural cardiac careClinical Responsibilities Perform inpatient rounds on general cardiology and post-procedure services Provide evaluations and consults with indirect supervision Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions Participate in care planning with physicians, fellows, and residents Support teaching activities with medical learners and APP students Perform specialized procedures as credentialed Participate in weekend, holiday, and night coverage as scheduledSchedule & Coverage 12-hour shifts Includes nights, weekends, and holidays Typically: 1-2 weekends per month 1-2 major holidays per year Up to 3 night shifts per monthPractice ExpectationsThe selected APP must meet 2-4 of the following: Spend at least 50% of workdays hospital-based Perform specialized cardiology procedures Provide evaluations and consults with indirect supervision on at least 50% of workdays Participate in call coverage Provide weekend and holiday serviceBenefits Highlights Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Pre-tax savings plans (HSA/FSA) Competitive retirement packageQualifications Preferred: Minimum 2 years of inpatient cardiology APP experience or completion of a cardiology fellowship New graduates: Considered if completion of a 1-year cardiology fellowshipNurse Practitioner Master's degree from an accredited NP program Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP) Active or eligible Arizona RN and APRN licensurePhysician Assistant Graduate of an accredited PA program NCCPA certification Active or eligible Arizona PA licensure by Jobble
