Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant Locum Tenens Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center (Springfield, OH) Overview: Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant (or Surgical NP) to provide locum coverage at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a highly skilled cardiovascular team, caring for adult and geriatric patients in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Assignment Details: Schedule: days/month Friday afternoon through the following full week & weekend Concludes either Sunday evening or Monday morning Patient Load: Average 5 10 per day Supervision: Reports directly to the Cardiovascular Surgeon Setting: Adult & Geriatric population EMR: Epic Key Responsibilities: Assist in coordination of care, rounding, ordering/interpreting tests, and writing prescriptions Surgical assist- not required Retrieval of vascular tissues- not required Opportunities to leverage Critical Care or Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery expertise Candidate Requirements: Certification: Board Certified PA-C (NCCPA) REQUIRED Experience: Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery preferred; Critical Care experience considered NO new grads License: Ohio state license preferred (willing to consider candidates obtaining OH license if done quickly) Certifications: ACLS REQUIRED; COVID vaccination REQUIRED Open To: Surgical Nurse Practitioner candidates Credentialing: Standard: days Temp privileges possible in 45 days About Springfield Regional Medical Center: For more than a century, Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center has delivered comprehensive medical services to Clark County and beyond.
