Job Title: Patient Access Representative Emergency Department Location: Pasadena, CA Shift: Evening shift, 3:00pm11:30pm Start time may vary slightly (may start earlier some days) Must work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) If scheduled on a weekend, candidate will receive two other days off during the week 40-hour work weeks Must be flexible with varying schedules Duration: 6m contract (perm possible) Pay Rate: $23-$24hr Must-Have Requirements Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment Strong experience with insurance verification and eligibility (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi?Cal) 12+ years of healthcare experience High School Diploma/GED Plusses EPIC experience Prior Emergency Department experience Day-to-Day Responsibilities Emergency Department patient registration Cross-trained across four different ED pods: Insurance pod Ambulance bay Main admissions Registration areas (hallways/rooms) Verifying insurance and calling payors Collecting and processing patient paperwork Updating patient demographics Collecting copays and financial responsibility
