Capital Management Strategy Analyst Assess implications of revised capital rules (including Basel III Endgame) on Truist's capital management strategy and engage with appropriate stakeholders to effectively implement these strategies. Develop and execute capital and RWA forecasts for the monthly forecast process, annual plan, and stress testing forecasts. Develop the annual Capital Plan (and related capital actions) and periodically conduct analysis of enterprise-wide stress test results for Truist and peers, ensuring methodologies incorporate all applicable regulatory and policy requirements. Location: Charlotte, NC Truist 'in office' requirement is 5 days per week. Candidate must be located in the below location: Charlotte, NC No remote or telecommute option Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Manage the monthly capital planning process (or more frequent as needed) including generation of the capital and RWA forecasts, preparation of committee materials, preparation of internal and external (i.e., regulatory) reporting requirements, and preparation of quarterly corporate dividend and earnings package for capital Execute on capital and RWA forecasting responsibilities for stress testing processes and submissions, including preparation of challenge and committee materials, generation and submission of the annual capital plan, and completion of the requisite submission templates. Measure and report on capital levels for compliance with capital policies, the capital plan, and regulatory requirements Ensure capital forecasting process incorporates the latest applicable capital rules including Basel, U.S. Prudential, and Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRs). Own the risk controls for the capital planning processes, ensuring a robust and well-documented control environment; interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve processes and controls. Create, modify, and/or execute forecasting models to perform complex ad-hoc capital analysis within tight time windows; communicate results of ad-hoc analysis to senior leadership, recommending action and strategies as applicable. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance or equivalent education and related training Seven years of banking or equivalent relevant experience Working knowledge of statistics, financial forecasting techniques, finance theory and application, discounted cash flow analysis, economic value added (EVA) analysis, project analysis, capital budgeting theory, and cost of capital theory In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the regulatory capital and stress testing processes. Understands foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines Advanced competency in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, MBA or relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, FRM) Five years of analytical experience in the Corporate Treasury function Strong knowledge of bank financial statements and impact to capital Understanding of bank regulation related to capital planning Ability to communicate at all levels of management General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
