Customer Service Representative Danbury Hospital is seeking a strong healthcare professional (preferably) with at least three years experience to schedule, register and greet patients in our Radiology Department. This is a full time 40 hour position. Mon - Fri between 7:30am-6:00pm, occasional Saturday and evening to cover PTO. Competitive pay, perks and benefits. Come talk to us about careers well cared for. Summary: Customer Service Representative 2 schedules, registers and receives patients according to established policies and procedures, in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities: 1. Schedules radiological exams in Soarian scheduling system according to established policies and procedures. 2. Registers patients in Invision, obtaining accurate demographic and financial information. 3. Verifies insurance benefits, scripts, pre-certification and authorization for services as necessary. 4. Performs reception and patient check-in functions, according to established policies and procedures. 5. Ensures work area is clean and well stocked, and office equipment is functioning properly. 6. Projects a positive and professional image exceeding Danbury Hospital behavioral competencies and department standards. 7. Adheres to Department standards for Service Excellence. 8. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT Other Information: Required: Alpha/numeric data entry required. Knowledge of computer systems. Minimum Experience: three years Desired: Invision, Cerner, Soarian, Document Imaging, PACS and Stentor systems. Knowledge of radiology exams, insurance. Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
