Lead Material Handler, 1st Shift

Lead Material Handler Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Responsibilities Picking, packing, inbound function, wrapping pallets, SPA proficient user, perform warehouse duties as needed Operate machinery such as forklifts, reach truck, swing reach truck, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks Using an RF scanner Support the supervisor in leading the team's efforts in adhering to all government (OSHA, DEA, SBOP, FDA) regulations as well as safety, security and cleanliness of the warehouse Ensures that Cardinal Health's principles, policies and procedures are consistently practiced Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems Maintains positive employee relations; promotes team environment and facilitates process improvement Work closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamwork Plan daily workload and assignments Lead safety and quality discussions while maintaining productivity Ability to work at other CAH buildings as needed Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required 4+ years experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft office Strong written communication skills and attention to detail Strong leadership skills are essential Anticipated hourly range: $25.90 per hour - $30.96 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential) Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
