Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Varied work schedule assignment • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of NICU patients • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate and implement plans of care utilizing assessment data and patient/family input • Review patient history, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Participate in unit shared leadership and staff education activities • Interact with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team members • Current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure required • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Recent experience within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs • Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides specialized neonatal intensive care services as part of a larger health system.
