Acute Care Float Pharmacy Technician

The float technician will have expectations for cross-coverage across oncology infusion service line. (i.e Froedtert Menomonee Falls, Froedtert West Bend, and Mequon Infusion). Scheduled hours vary based on position assignment with a mix of first and second shift. Two holidays per year, every third weekend. This is an acute care float technician with emphasis on supporting the oncology infusion service line. Following established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department. Oversees training of new technician staff. Functions within the guidelines of the wisconsin statutes and administrative code - pharmacy examining board - pharmacy practice sections. Other duties as assigned.
