Supply Chain Optimization Analyst Airgas is Hiring for a Supply Chain Optimization Analyst in Independence, OH! The Supply Chain Optimization Analyst will be responsible for utilizing LIM.Optim, or other supply chain optimization tool(s), to support the following functions: weekly S&OE planning, monthly S&OP, outage planning, resource planning, etc. They will be responsible for driving efficiency in the supply chain for all products supported by Airgas Merchant Gas. Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, mathematics or a related field 2 years experience in the transportation or logistics industry Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Outstanding written and communication skills Ability to work well with multiple levels of management and employees Critical-thinking skills and organizational abilities are imperative Advanced knowledge of Google applications (Docs, Sheets and Slides) Ability to operate custom supply chain software (ALTO, PI) Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to analyze demand and choose the most accurate forecasting algorithm. Ability to understand analysis methods based on statistics such as standard deviation, best fit analysis, control charts and scatter gram analysis. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents. Analytical skills on planned versus actual production and demand as well as forecasting methods. Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language. The job requires being on-call after normal working hours due to the 24-hour nature of our business. Rare regional travel with the potential for overnight travel. Job requires visitation to various Airgas and customer sites, which have varying environments/conditions, layouts, and accessibility.
