Software Developer with Security Clearance

ORBIS is looking for a Software Developer for our mission-focused customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Software Developer shall be responsible for developing rapid experimental prototypes of particular capabilities associated with the improvement and modernization of metrics and monitoring capabilities within the organization. Tasking shall also include demonstrations to validate concepts and to prove operational capability and scalability. Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDebug existing software and correct defectsDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new featuresWrite or review software and system documentationIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environmentsDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositoriesSoftware development using languages such as C, C++, Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript, etc.Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular projectDesign and development of relational and non-relational database applicationsDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standardsDevelop and execute test procedures for software componentsDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areasDesign, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design decisionsSoftware development using continuous integration practicesDevelopment of event driven or data driven analyticsDevelopment of cloud-based solutions and technologiesDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
