Student Accounting Associate West Chester or Pittsburgh - PA Description Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public (tuition-free) K-12 online charter school with a substantial number of students. Our teachers are part of an educational team whose innovative approach to education is providing a dynamic learning experience for students across the state of Pennsylvania through cyber education. All teachers report to work throughout our various locations in Pennsylvania. Job Purpose: The Student Accounting Associate is responsible for updating the VSIMS system with new student enrollment forms, IEP information and withdrawal forms. This position will be responsible for processing the ISP information for our students, along with the Vo-tech and extracurricular information for our enrolled students. Essential Duties: Management of student ISP forms and information Scanning and copying necessary forms Filing forms in binders if needed Assists in supporting all monthly billing functions for the department Determines if students are Vo-Tech eligible Processes information for extra curricular payments Works closely to provide information to the accounts payable team Management of outgoing and returned mail resulting from essential functions Attends training as required to support essential functions of the department and position Administers office supply ordering for the department Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management Qualifications Education, Certification (if applicable), Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High School diploma or equivalent Experience with maintaining records via a computerized database Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Able to maintain confidentiality Able to problem solve and work independently Able to perform accurate data entry Capable of multitasking Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: Physical: Normal vision, speech, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, grasping, keyboarding, and filing ability Mental: Positive attitude, analyzing, problem solving, decision making, and writing. Environmental: Online, office, blended school environment Travel as required for positional and/or organizational needs, but minimal for this position Hybrid Work Eligibility - Yes - as determined by departmental parameters All PA Leadership Charter School applicants and employees will need to provide Pennsylvania Clearances: Act 34, 114, and 151 upon employment, as well as every five years from the date the previous clearance was obtained.
