Logistics Assistant Procurement Provides administrative support to the Inbound Logistics Department. Assists with the organization and execution of company projects and functions, handles details of a confidential nature. Keeps department associates and manager well informed of activities and provides assistance to the Logistics staff. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Responsible for the effective and accurate performance of assigned clerical and logistics functions. Compiles and executes against reports such as the PO PEND, Load Accrual and Lost Sales, and compiles information to share with logistics, purchasing, operations, carriers and vendors as necessary. Actively resolves issues or concerns that pertain to work related and assigned tasks. Facilitates a "problem-solver" approach - identifies the problem, offers solutions and executes/delivers results. Stays educated on developments, changes and trends related to the supply chain industry. Verifies and enter/update information into various systems in an efficient and accurate manner. Follows up with internal and external sources on requests and status checks. Prepares a variety of documents, reports, and records including carrier scorecards, invoice/bills, vendor profile, transit time, master scheduling scorecards and analytics preparation data. Assists and supports department personnel as needed. Resolves requests, questions, and problems promptly and professionally. Obtains and conveys information such as carrier on-time metrics and open PO specifics. Performs other job duties as required Qualifications: Education/Certification: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Experience Required: 1 2 years experience in a professional environment Required Knowledge: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Excel and Visio Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Have a thorough knowledge of procurement and logistics processes General understanding of promotional practices Strong analytical and math skillset Proficient in Microsoft Excel Capable of learning and utilizing multiple disparate systems Ability to identify and understand trends Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions Excellent problem-solving capabilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Ability to use own judgement to make decisions and drive results Can work independently as well as with a larger group Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information Physical Environment/Demands: Some travel may be required Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
