Revenue Manager This role provides technical leadership and strategic oversight for revenue recognition, ensuring accurate, consistent, and compliant financial reporting in a fast-growing technology environment. The Revenue Manager will own first-level review of revenue close activities, lead complex contract analysis, and drive process improvements across the revenue function. Working closely with Sales, Product, Legal, and Finance teams, this position influences revenue policy, evaluates new product initiatives, and supports scalable accounting operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth SaaS environment, demonstrates deep expertise in ASC 606, and can navigate complex contracts while elevating the technical capabilities of the broader team. Accountabilities: Lead first-level review of monthly revenue recognition activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue schedules Evaluate complex contracts, contract modifications, and non-standard deal structures to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 Document accounting conclusions, maintain technical revenue memos, and support policy development Partner with Sales, Legal, Product, and Data teams to assess revenue implications of new products, pricing strategies, and deal structures Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and provide accounting guidance for strategic or non-standard transactions Strengthen documentation, review procedures, and internal controls related to revenue Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and elevate review quality within the revenue team Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency in revenue operations Requirements: 69+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant focus on revenue recognition Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606, including multi-performance obligation contracts, contract modifications, SSP analysis, and variable consideration Experience reviewing complex contracts and non-standard deal structures Demonstrated ability to lead or review monthly revenue close processes in a SaaS or technology company environment Proven ability to research, document, and defend accounting conclusions Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills CPA or Big 4 public accounting experience preferred Experience drafting technical accounting memos, supporting pricing model evolution, IPO readiness, or revenue process automation is a plus Benefits: Competitive salary: $146,000 - $177,300 USD (typical range; select locations: $163,000 - $197,000 USD) Unlimited vacation time and a culture that encourages time off Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous paid parental leave 401(k) plan with 3% guaranteed company contribution Flexible stipends for health & wellness, home office setup, cell phone & internet, learning & development Equity and performance-based compensation opportunities Remote work flexibility with a high-growth, collaborative environment
