Job Description

Medical Payment Poster Addison Group is partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Payment Poster to support cash applications, reconciliations, and refund processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a stable, detail-oriented professional looking to grow long-term within a structured revenue cycle environment. The Medical Payment Poster will manage credit balances, reconcile banking activity, process refunds, and ensure accurate cash posting. This role requires strong reconciliation skills, experience reviewing EOBs, and hands-on experience with clearinghouse platforms. After an initial 30-60 day onsite training period, this position transitions to a fully remote schedule. Key Responsibilities: Post manual and electronic payments accurately and timely. Process credit balances and manage refund requests in compliance with policy. Perform daily bank reconciliations and verify transaction accuracy. Review aged AR reports to identify underpayments and overpayments. Retrieve, review, and upload EOBs to appropriate systems. Utilize clearinghouse platforms to research payment details. Investigate discrepancies such as missing EOBs, partial payments, and posting errors. Maintain organized documentation for audit readiness. Collaborate with billing and accounting teams to resolve reconciliation issues. Monitor and respond to payment-related inquiries in a timely manner. Identify opportunities to improve posting workflows and financial processes. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in medical cash applications, payment posting, and credit balance management required. Strong reconciliation experience required. Experience processing refunds and handling overpayments required. Knowledge of EOB interpretation required. Strong tenure and stable work history required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
