Payroll Specialist Overview A well‑established construction company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage high‑volume, multi‑state payroll in a fast‑paced, field‑driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, dependable, and confident navigating the unique demands of construction payroll—where accuracy, compliance, and timing are everything. Key Responsibilities Process weekly or biweekly payroll for field and office employees. Handle certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements. Maintain accurate employee records including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and job classifications. Verify timecards, job codes, and hours submitted from the field. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Process deductions (benefits, garnishments, union dues if applicable). Respond to payroll-related questions from employees, supervisors, and project managers. Support audits and assist with reporting as needed. Qualifications Payroll experience in the construction industry strongly preferred. Understanding of prevailing wage Experience with job costing or labor allocation across multiple job sites. Salary: $55,000 to $65,000
