POSITION SUMMARYThe Pharmacist Staff - Retail Pharmacy ensures medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Proficient in pharmacy practice including but not limited to the following areas: a. Retail dispensing b. Home health aids • Performs other related prescription activities such as taking verbal prescriptions, filling of prescriptions, dispensing and verbal consultation. • Performs and/or supervises pharmaceutical compounding activities. • Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, drug information and education. • Participates in and follows standards of departmental quality control and quality assurance programs. • Oversees inventory control activities such as monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping. • Supervises pharmacy interns and technicians. • Willingly follows and supports all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation. • Input and process prescriptions • Correct prescriptions • Counsel patients • Administer vaccines. • Perform other related duties as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. • Professional Pharmacy degree required. Doctorate preferred. • Wisconsin Pharmacist license required or temporary Wisconsin Pharmacist license required while obtaining active Pharmacist license that must be obtained within 60 days of receiving temporary license. • Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Pharmacist license. • BLS certification required. • 1+ years related work experience required.
