Shipping Supervisor

Shipping Supervisor The Shipping Supervisor will lead a small team of 6-8 direct reports during the 2nd shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, in a growing global organization. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and safe movement of materials while maintaining full compliance with customer requirements and company standards. Strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to operational excellence are essential for success. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations by coordinating all shipping and receiving activities, including workload planning, staffing, and task assignments. Lead and develop employees by training, mentoring, and supporting team members to build skills, improve performance, and maintain high productivity. Conduct performance evaluations, deliver feedback, complete reviews, and support employee growth. Approve time and attendance to ensure accurate timekeeping and schedule adherence. Coordinate cross-functional communication by working closely with Production, Sales, and Logistics to support on-time shipments and resolve issues quickly. Ensure compliance with customer requirements by verifying that all packing, marking, labeling, and documentation meet specifications. Monitor shipping schedules to identify potential delays and take proactive steps to maintain delivery commitments. Audit shipments to check orders for accuracy, quality, and compliance before release. Maintain inventory accuracy by investigating and correcting discrepancies using company inventory and transfer systems. Use warehouse technology, including computers, scanners, and mobile devices, to pull, track, and process materials. Oversee packaging processes to ensure proper palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, and labeling of outbound shipments. Operate material-handling equipment and supervise the safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment. Maintain a safe work environment by keeping the shipping and receiving area clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $79000.00/yr.
