Strategic Sourcing Associate Level 2 Core Responsibilities Execute Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for assigned parts/services; consolidate bids and perform basic should-cost and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses. Support supplier selection and onboarding; coordinate with Supplier Quality for compliance with AS9100 aerospace quality standards and AS9120 aerospace distribution standards, and special process qualifications such as NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) where required. Draft and administer purchase orders, Statements of Work (SOWs), and basic supply agreements; ensure compliance with applicable trade compliance (e.g., International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and applicable Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)) clauses under guidance. Maintain accurate Enterprise Resource Planning / Material Requirements Planning (ERP/MRP) sourcing data and manage pricing files. Track and report Purchase Price Variance (PPV), on-time delivery, and cost savings/avoidance metrics. Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions, including 8D problem-solving (Eight Disciplines) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Support impact analysis for Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and coordinate re-sourcing needs. Prepare sourcing analytics such as spend Pareto charts and supplier scorecards. Support documentation for customer, internal, and government audits. Assist with supply chain risk identification (single-source, long-lead, capacity, geopolitical) and mitigation steps. Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and cost-reduction initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 24 years of procurement or sourcing experience in manufacturing; aerospace preferred. Working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and basic DFARS requirements. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.). Ability to interpret technical drawings/Bills of Material (BOMs) at a basic level. Preferred Qualifications Experience with NADCAP-controlled special processes (e.g., heat treat, non-destructive testing, coatings). Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS government contract flow-downs. Certifications such as APICS/ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management), ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Project Management Institute (PMI) coursework. Basic should-cost modeling skills.
