Sr HR Generalist Hempland DC Mountville PA - Mountville, PA 17554 Overview Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: 1st Shift Travel Percentage: Negligible Description The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a trusted HR partner for the Mountville, PA facility, supporting a fast-paced warehouse and fulfillment operation. This role manages the full employee lifecycle while providing advanced guidance to leaders on employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices. In addition to hands-on HR operations, the Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in driving engagement initiatives, supporting safety and workforce planning efforts, and partnering with corporate HR on strategic initiatives. HR Generalist Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the entire employee life cycle to enhance their work experience. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management support, leave administration, and offboarding. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related concerns. Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions in alignment with company policy and employment law. Coach managers and supervisors on effective people management, documentation, and conflict resolution. Administer FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and other leave programs, ensuring accurate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage Workers' Compensation claims, including documentation, investigations, and coordination with internal and external partners. Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application of employment policies and regulatory compliance. Partner with temporary staffing agencies to meet operational workforce needs while promoting an inclusive and respectful work environment. Support the Site Director and leadership team with HR guidance to drive facility performance and employee retention. Participate as an active member of the Safety Committee, supporting safety initiatives and compliance efforts. Lead and participate in the Employee Engagement Committee, planning and executing monthly engagement and recognition activities. Partner closely with the Corporate HR Manager on HR programs, audits, process improvements, and company-wide initiatives. Serve as a change agent by identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within the HRIS/payroll system. Prepare reports, track trends, and provide insights related to turnover, attendance, employee relations, and engagement. Qualifications Minimum of 35 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices at the federal, state, and local levels. Proven ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Experience administering leave programs (FMLA, STD) and Workers' Compensation. Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional internal customer service. Spanish language proficiency required.
