Job Title: Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist Location: Fort Worth TX 76177 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pay Rate: $60/hour Type: Onsite About the Role: Seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. This is a patient-facing, clinical role focused on pharmacotherapy review, patient education, and coordination of care for specialty medications, including biologics. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, phone-intensive environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient support. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews, including drug utilization, counseling, interactions, side effect profiling, and administration support. Document pharmacotherapy reviews to inform nursing and patient care teams. Counsel patients on new therapies and coordinate with prescribers to optimize care. Complete REMS training and follow all program SOPs. Serve as a liaison between patients, caregivers, home health and hospice nurses, and prescribers. Provide subcutaneous teaching support and coordinate nursing services as needed. Offer on-call coverage under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge. Implement clinical management models for specialty products and disease states. Dispense medications in compliance with state, federal, and board of pharmacy laws. Adhere to policies for government-funded payers (Medicaid, Medicare). Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee aseptic technique, prescription verification, and quality assurance. Process prescriptions accurately and verify claims adjudication. Monitor hazardous waste management and ensure regulatory compliance. Report adverse events and product quality complaints per regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: 3–5+ years of post-graduate experience in clinical pharmacy, specialty operations, and patient care. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. BCOP certified or willing to become certified when eligible. Current, unrestricted licenses in Texas and California , in good standing. Must live within 1 hour of Fort Worth TX 76177 Strong computer skills and proficiency in sterile technique and quality control. Comfortable spending extended periods on the phone for patient interactions.
