Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work with medical-surgical telemetry patients with 1:6 patient ratio • Majority of patients include medical conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction • Small surgical caseload of approximately 1-3 post-surgical cases per day including gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy • Every other weekend coverage required • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • 36 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Telemetry and IV start skills required • Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required • 1.5 years of nursing experience required • Experience with Cerner charting system required • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations • 100% floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby • First-time travelers accepted • Local Indiana nurses not accepted for this position • Must have nursing license in hand prior to start date Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 39-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 38 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
