The PX Generalist is responsible for supporting and leading key operational functions within the People Experience team, with a focus on regional PX compliance, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, onboarding, offboarding, and project management. This position will work closely with the Global Regional PX team and PX Centers of Excellence teams including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organization Development, Payroll and People Systems) to develop, implement, and maintain PX initiatives, programs, and processes. While the primary focus will be on the United States and Canada, the PX Generalist will also provide support to other countries across the Americas region and partner with teams in additional global regions. What You'll Do Stay informed of regional PX compliance matters, including new federal, state, and provincial governmental policies, employee handbooks, and reporting requirements to authorities. Lead the review of immigration matters for U.S. employees including partnership with external immigration legal counsel. Lead various compliance and reporting programs for the company such as the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP). Assist in the global data collection for various audits, certifications, and other compliance related needs of the region. Support the global performance management program by conducting ongoing training and providing continual coaching and support to managers. Partner with managers to construct and deliver performance improvement plans to employees who are underperforming. Manage and resolve sensitive employee situations in close partnership with managers. Address complaints and conduct investigations where necessary. Own the leave of absence management program for the United States and Canada (in partnership with the Benefits team), including the return-to-work process. Implement and promote the company's various employee engagement efforts - including employee surveys, in-person employee events, and virtual employee activities. Partner with the OD/Talent team on projects and initiatives that relate to monitoring and enhancing the employee experience. Partner with leaders to define and implement action plans that result from gathering employee engagement data throughout the year. Support the Sr. PX Coordinator during the onboarding process by providing guidance and offering suggestions for improvements. Support the Sr. PX Coordinator during the offboarding process by conducting exit interviews. Execute the involuntary termination process including conducting the termination meeting and partnering with internal stakeholders to work through requirements. Act as the backup for executing onboarding / offboarding processes. Lead the review of onboarding / offboarding survey data and provide recommendations for areas to improve. Lead the implementation of various special projects within the PX function, as assigned. Partner with PX COEs to move projects through various phases toward completion. Regularly report on project status as required to PX Leadership. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Human Resources. Solid understanding of HR operations and processes and/or SME expertise on multiple HR disciplines (including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, U.S. employment law compliance, employee engagement, etc.). Working knowledge of key U.S employment law (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA) and experience supporting multi-state U.S teams. Passionate about innovative and progressive PX practices and solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate insights from HR data reports and metrics. Excellent conflict management, consultative, and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong relationship-building and influencing capabilities with individuals at all levels. Ability to mediate employee relations and performance management concerns with limited assistance High level of discretion and trust handling confidential information.
