Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together As a Benefits Operations Administrator, you'll support our team in managing daily administration processes, assist with implementation projects, and help ensure accurate data processing activities. What you'll do Service Delivery & Technical Support (50%) Monitor assigned tasks and projects under guidance to help meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Provide technical support to TELUS Health Outsourcing users, with mentorship from senior team members Manage administrative and case management activities with supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to time standards Process individual participant requests and assist with plan-level data processing activities Complete transactions and file postings for plan participants with peer review Communicate with clients regarding participant inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed Learn to use database tools to support client healthcare and group benefits database administration Technical Analysis & Problem Solving (30%) Apply analytical skills to identify and help solve operational problems with guidance Develop foundational knowledge in Health and Welfare Benefits rules and regulations Conduct data analysis and troubleshooting under supervision Assist in testing and validating system configurations during implementation Review plan documents to build comprehensive, plan-specific knowledge Contribute observations and findings to support business requirements development Quality Assurance & Project Management (20%) Participate in Quality Assurance processes for assigned projects and deliverables Support client-specific and enterprise-wide TELUS Health project initiatives Collaborate with team leaders and project managers on assigned tasks Assist in monitoring project progress and communicating status updates Ensure assigned work products meet quality standards and deadlines What you bring 1+ years in of customer service, benefits administration, or operations experience (or equivalent demonstrated capability) Proficiency in Excel (formulas, filtering, basic data organization) with eagerness to expand technical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling Ability to manage multiple tasks with support and organizational tools Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in team-oriented environments Self-motivated, adaptable mindset with commitment to learning and continuous improvement Ability to follow processes and ask clarifying questions when needed Great-to-haves Customer service or administrative support experience Familiarity with benefits administration concepts Experience with database systems or data entry Bachelor's degree Project coordination or administrative support background Experience in a client-facing or consulting environment Basic SQL, MS Access, or VBA knowledge Professional certifications in HR or benefits (CEBS) Understanding of compliance basics in benefits administration A bit about us We're a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
