Nuclear Medicine Technologist - New York, NY Job Type: Full-time (Onsite) Shift: Monday- Friday (Days) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. Key Responsibilities: Operate gamma cameras, PET, and SPECT imaging equipment. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures. Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and radiation safety documentation . Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret scan results. Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks. Perform quality control tests on imaging equipment. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (NRC, ARRA, JCAHO, etc.) . Qualifications & Requirements: Active New York state license in Nuclear Medicine Technology (or Compact State License). Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT (N) Certification required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Experience with PET, SPECT, and CT fusion imaging is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient privacy, and radiation safety protocols . Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Experience: Experience working with cardiac nuclear imaging and stress tests. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems . Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
