Position Overview The Lead Coating Machine Operator plays a key role in our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining a water based coating machine in order to produce adhesive coated laminated and linerless roll products. Key Responsibilities Operate coating machines following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Weigh and prepare coating solutions according to coating formulas. Test coat weights and functional properties to ensure product quality. Load raw materials and unload finished product efficiently. Make machine adjustments as needed (speed, temperature, pressure tolerances). Follow job orders to set up rollers, dies, stencils, and other components. Clean and lubricate equipment to maintain optimal performance. Document production records, monitor performance, and communicate any issues. Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals. Qualifications Technical certification or Associate's Degree in printing processes preferred. Prior coating or flexographic printing experience strongly preferred. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform bending and lifting throughout shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Pay Range: $20.00-$27.00 per hour total compensation with shift differential and rate is dependent on experience.
