Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager My client is a fast-growing general contractor based in Greenbelt, MD, specializing in K-12, municipal, and interior renovation projects across the DMV and Baltimore County. Job Description My client is seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of construction experience. You will assist in managing interior renovation projects, including K-12, government, and city projects under $10M. This position offers hands-on exposure to fast-paced construction management with opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities Track project schedules, budgets, and materials procurement to support on-time, on-budget delivery Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Support project managers with documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting Help troubleshoot field issues and coordinate timely resolutions Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns Assist in managing labor and equipment resources effectively to maximize productivity MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
