We're currently hiring for open positions in the US and Canada. We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Job Title: Logistics Coordinator The Logistics Coordinator supports and interacts with internal cross functional departments and external partners (E.g., 3PL, freight forwarders, carriers, etc.) to ensure daily on-time shipment goals are achieved at the most effective total cost of ownership inclusive of quality, delivery and service. Responsibilities: Organizes shipment and delivery of goods worldwide in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner. Coordinates future shipments, inclusive of providing direction and data/information, to ensure 3rd party partners have visibility to process shipments to meet customer requirements Pro-actively communicates logistics problems, and proposes solution options, to mitigate customer impact Provides freight rates to customers or Customer Service Representative's when requested. Resolves shipping discrepancies, files claims and aids customers with claims for OS&D (overages, shortages and damages) Performs required transactions within ERP system to support all product shipments. Creates and files necessary documentation (E.g., customs) for international shipments. Creates and maintains Gorbel Operating Procedures for Logistics Utilizes data to ensure supply partners use the best combination of cost, service and quality to meet customer requirements Identifies improvements by leading, training and utilizing new and existing continuous improvement tools Achieves excellent results in annual cost, delivery, quality and innovation improvement projects and process improvements utilizing data analytics based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results Performs other related duties and various special projects as required and assigned Required Qualifications: College degree and/or 5 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience in a manufacturing environment High degree of business ethics and accountability Leadership and application of lean tools and principles to drive improvements Strong business and financial acumen Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Proficient with ERP systems Effective in both written and verbal communications Familiarity with transportation and logistics Work Environment: Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Logistics Coordinator: Min $19.74 - Max $29.62 Logistics Coordinator, Sr: Min $21.42 - Max $32.14
