Data Collection: Unit Information: Operating Room Location: South Tower, 2nd Floor Address: 1313 Hermann Dr. Houston, TX 77004 Floor: 2nd Tower Building: South Tower General Information Tell us about the unit(s): • Number of ORs - 14 (2 CVORs, 12 ORs) • Number of Staff - 8 RNs, 8 STs • Type of staff: • Day Shift - 6 RNs, 6 STs • OR operates 0730 to 1500, 6 rooms, 1500 to 1700, 3 rooms, 1700 to 1900, 2 rooms, 1900 on-call team • Patient Ratios - 1:1 • Type of equipment - • EMR - Meditech ORM Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. • 2 years OR Circulating Experience at Acute Care Hospital • Varied skill set with General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Ortho, Robotics • CVOR experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. • CNOR Certification • > 5 years experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): • Heavy Robotics, Gyn, General Surgery, ENT • Colorectal, Vascular, Urology Best personality Fit: • Flexible, ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: • BLS Floating Area(s): • Preop Holding Dress Code: • Scrub Color/Attire - Scrubs provided by hospital. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. • Shift starts at 0630, Huddle 0645 daily, 30 min response time for on-call • Staff self-schedule on-call shifts 1 to 2 per week depending on PTO requests. On call weekdays & weekends required • Artificial nails, dips, gels, etc not permitted. Weekends and On call(if any) • Weekends covered by on-call 24 hrs Sat/Sun, Call shift during week begins at end of regular shift.
