Automotive Title Clerk

Title Clerk Ray Laethem Buick GMC is seeking a detail orientated and organized Title Clerk to join our dealership team. The Title Clerk is responsible for processing and managing vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation to ensure timely and accurate completion in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role is critical to maintaining smooth dealership operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Process vehicle titles, registrations, and tag applications in accordance with state regulations Verify accuracy of title documents, lien releases, and payoff information Submit title paperwork to appropriate agencies in a timely manner Track and follow up on pending titles and registration paperwork Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and title status Reconcile title schedules and accounting reports Process trade-in paperwork and ensure proper title transfers Communicate with customers, lenders, and DMV offices regarding title issues Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state requirements Qualifications Previous experience as a Title Clerk, Automotive Billing Clerk, or similar administrative role preferred Knowledge of state DMV procedures and automotive title processing Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with dealership management systems DMS and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational and time management skills Preferred Skills Experience with electronic title and registrations systems Understanding of lien processing and payoff procedures Basic accounting knowledge Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay (based on experience) $1,000 Sign on Bonus Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401K No Weekends Excellence is the obligation of all employees at Ray Laethem.
