Job Description General Nature of Work Under the general supervision of the Lead Splash Pad Attendant and the Recreation Division Manager, provide excellent customer service to all guests while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment through active supervision of patrons and routine maintenance of the facility. This position requires availability from May through August/September, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (mandatory). Job Responsibilities • Greet and monitor guests as they enter and exit the splash pad facility. • Supervise patrons during splash pad use and enforce all safety rules and facility guidelines. • Collect admission fees. • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with questions, concerns, and general information. • Respond appropriately to incidents and accidents and notify supervisors as needed. • Maintain cleanliness of the splash pad area by monitoring for trash and debris and performing routine cleanup. • Regularly test and document water chemical levels in accordance with established procedures. • Enforce all facility policies and operational procedures consistently and professionally. • Work cooperatively with other splash pad attendants and assist with assigned tasks as needed. • Support coworkers and patrons in identifying and resolving customer service issues. • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Ability to provide courteous, professional, and effective customer service to all patrons. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisory staff. • Ability to monitor patrons entering, exiting, and using the splash pad to ensure safety and compliance with facility rules. • Ability to consistently enforce safety rules, policies, and operational guidelines. • Ability to respond appropriately to patron questions, concerns, incidents, and accidents. • Ability to assist the Recreation Division Manager and Lead Attendant with assigned tasks and daily operations. • Ability to maintain cleanliness of the facility, including monitoring for trash and debris and performing routine cleaning of decks, floors, restrooms, and surrounding areas. • Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and assist in resolving customer service-related issues. • Ability to follow and enforce all established facility policies and procedures. • Ability to perform other duties as assigned. • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays from May 25 through September 7 (Memorial Day through Labor Day). • Ability to attend mandatory Splash Pad orientation and training on Saturday, May 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least 15 years of age. • Previous customer service experience preferred. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must possess current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or be willing and able to obtain certification prior to or during employment. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to perform light physical work, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to approximately 5-10 pounds.
