Compliance Lead, Fair Lending We are hiring a Compliance Fair Lending Lead to join our Business Advisory team to support the exciting products and services at Chime, with a focus on fair lending and fairness. As a Fair Lending Lead, you will support new and existing Chime product development by advising product, marketing, credit risk, and DS/ML teams on compliance and strategies for fair lending and fairness compliance. You'll also provide advisory support for our Instant Loans product. You will monitor the evolving regulatory landscape and advise on enhancements to existing Chime products, services, and models to remain fair and responsible as they continue to scale. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $127,000.00 and up to $175,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to: Support the maintenance, enhancement, and execution of the fair lending compliance program, including governance, policies and procedures, advisory frameworks, risk assessment, and testing Perform ongoing reviews of consumer complaints, marketing & advertising, loan documentation, and all applicable consumer-related forms for fair lending and fairness risks Evaluate proposed business change to ensure compliance with applicable fair lending-related laws and regulations Drive corrective actions taken to address fair lending issues, including assisting with the implementation of remediation, conducting follow-up reviews to determine the adequacy, and effectiveness of the action taken Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. To thrive in this role, you have: 7+ or more years of experience in banking, credit, lending, or equivalent experience in product compliance, with at least 4+ years working in ECOA and UDAAP compliance. Fintech experience is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of key regulations including but not limited to ECOA, UDAAP and other consumer protection regulations Experience in advising product, marketing, machine learning teams on issues related to ECOA and UDAAP compliance. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Experience independently executing quality, timely compliance management system components. Ability to develop solutions and advise on issues, with minimal oversight from your leadership team. A desire to collaborate and have the ability to influence both your colleagues and external partners to achieve consensus on regulatory risk issues and appropriate mitigation. Experience working with statistics, analytics, and other technical tools is a plus.
