Maintenance Administrative and Supply Technician This is a military technician position with the 99th Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) 88 located in Bowling Green, Virginia. This position may offer a $5,000 recruitment bonus (see Additional Information Section). Duties Prepare daily reports to monitor shop equipment database. Spearhead formal and informal training to the organization. Maintain accountability of administrative actions. Review inventory of supply operations for discrepancies. Organize shop tools to distribute appropriately to employees. Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR). This position requires to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license in order to obtain a Government Motor Vehicle Operator's certificate. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document . Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing automated systems to schedule and track repairs or work requests; 2) maintaining supply logs or production control records; and 3) conducting inventory of supplies, tools, or parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
