Senior Benefits Consultant Are you passionate about shaping impactful employee benefits programs and providing expert guidance? As a Senior Benefits Consultant at Spectrum, you will advise business partners, enhance benefits processes and programs, and manage critical analytical projects. You'll collaborate with vendors and HR to deliver results that empower our workforce and drive operational excellence. Your expertise will help Spectrum maintain competitive, compliant, and forward-thinking benefits that support the well-being of our team. How You'll Make an Impact Complete day-to-day tasks for the company's retirement benefits, including 401(k) contribution funding, data review processes, and periodic reporting Serve as subject matter expert resource for Benefit Analysts and administrators. Provide guidance and project management with complex and significant employee benefit changes and other related issues Responsible for vendor life cycle while partnering with vendors to resolve eligibility, plan design and claim issues Address elevated employee issues related to health plans, retirement or other relevant benefit programs Participate in the regular plan design review and development meetings make recommendations on improvements to the existing programs. This includes investigating new benefits programs and conducting benchmarking and trend analysis Draft and develop comprehensive benefit communications for enrollment, ongoing employee education, and materials to enhance the understanding of the company's benefits package Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and may participate in benefit surveys and Census reports Perform ad hoc reporting such as participant data analysis for plan design changes and conduct data collection for monitoring of financial performance Working Conditions Office environment hybrid schedule 4 days in office, 1 day remote What You'll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Experience 8+ years of benefits experience Skills Ability to work independently and work effectively in a team environment Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and prioritize and organize effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards Attention to detail Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner Effective analytical skills Ability to analyze and interpret data Demonstrated effective presentation skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Advanced level proficiency with personal computer and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Extensive knowledge of employee benefit plans, policies and procedures Extensive knowledge of pertinent state and federal laws regarding ERISA, HIPAA and FMLA Preferred Qualifications Education Advanced degree or CBP/CEBS certification Skills Knowledge of HRIS systems (Oracle preferred) Knowledge of Fidelity's Plan Sponsor Workstation
