Occupational Medicine physician job in South Carolina : Duties - Performs occupational physical examinations of various types including pre-placement, medical surveillance, medical qualification, disability retirement, fitness for duty, and any other special employee examinations. - Develops and oversees medical surveillance and medical qualification programs. - Participates in performance improvement programs, risk management programs, and makes recommendations on improvement of work methods and organizational features. - Applies new procedures in the evaluation and treatment of complex work-related cases and conducts research for the advancement of the Occupational Medicine program and for quality improvement. - Coordinates with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive work-related care to employees. - Interprets ancillary test results for evidence of possible occupational disease or confounding personal health conditions. - Evaluates and treats on-the-job illnesses and injuries and stabilizes and transfers those suffering from urgent or potentially life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Assists in self-care transfer activities. Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
