Job Description

Payroll Coordinator The Payroll Coordinator assists with payroll related processing, verification and review. This includes ensuring timely and accurate input of payroll items, maintaining payroll records, and preparing reports. The Payroll Coordinator also provides customer service and support to employees in regards to payroll issues. Some of the things that you will get to do (this is just a small sampling of work variety): Assist with payroll calculations and ensure accuracy of data Provide customer service to employees regarding payroll-related matters Monitor and reconcile payroll records and reports Provide support such as creating reports, earning registers, and provide audit support. Assist with verifying payroll output against reports. Provide excellent verbal and communication skills are needed to communicate with employees and other departments Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Crosstrain with Payroll Specialist Maintain compliance and confidentiality Assist with training users on payroll system Ability to adhere to regular work schedule. Minimum qualifications: 2-3 yrs minimum experience in a payroll role. Knowledge of payroll processes and payroll tax regulation Excellent organizational skills Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with payroll software Payroll work requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data Time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Experience with UKG/Workforce Ready system G/L Experience a plus Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Inc. offers a rich benefits package that constitutes a major portion of total compensation (paid medical/dental/vision, retirement, educational reimbursement, etc.).
