Office Assistant The Office Assistant is responsible for providing basic clerical support in a variety of settings. This position is responsible for a range of duties associated with general administrative and office functions. This position works in collaboration with other administrative support staff and under the direction of various operational business leaders. Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: One year of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Miscellaneous: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to present oneself in a professional manner. Must have the ability to work independently and to prioritize workload to complete projects with minimal supervision. Essential Job Knowledge Greets and directs visitors. Provides clerical support to various departments, as directed. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Order needed supplies, including postage meter, office, and coffee supplies. Prepare patient folders. Prepare and mail various letters and packages, as directed. Prepare and mail patient satisfaction surveys. Data entry, as requested. Coordinate meetings and training classes, as directed. Prepare on-call calendars. Scan and file documents. Prepare reports, as requested. Assist with facility needs, as requested. This may include regular checks of the fire extinguishers, eye wash station, and boiler system. Maintains competency to provide backup for other Office Assists. Successfully completes initial and ongoing organizational and department education, training, and competency requirements. Infection Control: Understands, demonstrates, and follows organizational infection control guidelines (CDIC). Quality: Focuses on improving processes and champions efficiency in daily work activities. Safety: Promotes a culture of safety by taking accountability for individual actions, including but not limited to, promptly reporting errors or near misses via the organization's occurrence reporting system and participating in developing improved safety processes, as appropriate. (ADM015, ADM016, OPS044, Mission Statement). Performs other duties as assigned.
