Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Oncology/PCU Registered Nurse for a stepdown unit caring for general medicine and oncology patients. This unit manages higher-acuity med/onc patients requiring close monitoring and chemotherapy administration. Candidates must have strong chemo administration experience and required oncology certifications. Unit Details General Medicine / Oncology Stepdown Unit (GMU) Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–1:6 Ratios adjusted for chemotherapy admissions Charge RN typically not in patient assignment Additional support staff available when ratios flex higher Floating required to other Med Surg areas, including AU and ER (for Med Surg patient assignments) Required Experience Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience Oncology experience REQUIRED Experience administering IV Chemotherapy Strong IV skills (starting IVs required) Experience in acute care hospital setting Required Certifications & Licensure Active Michigan RN License BLS (AHA) NIH Stroke Certification ONCC or ONS Certification – REQUIRED Will accept pending ONS ONCC must be in hand Equipment & Documentation Welch Allyn vital sign towers Sigma IV pumps EPIC EMR documentation Schedule & Work Requirements No call required Every other weekend required Block scheduling may be accommodated (must request at time of submission) Self-scheduling available for weekday shifts Must be available for the first two weeks of assignment Any RTO after offer must be discussed with on-site manager About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
