Job Title: Lead Technician  Reports To: Shop Manager Company: Quick Lube of Carolina LLC / Take 5 Oil Change Position Overview A Lead Technician (LT) at Quick Lube of Carolina LLC / Take 5 Oil Change is a key team member nominated by the Store Manager and approved by the certified training Store Manager. Lead Technicians set the standard for all technicians by consistently demonstrating superior technical skills, professionalism, and reliability. While not a manager, Lead Technicians may assume management responsibilities as needed and are considered the next in line for promotion to Assistant Shop Manager. Lead Technicians are expected to be punctual, maintain proper uniform standards, and perform vehicle services on a variety of makes and models with technical excellence. Completion of all relevant training courses and adherence to the Lead Tech Training Manual is required. Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical standard for all technicians by consistently performing high-quality service on most makes and models of vehicles Maintain punctuality and professionalism, including wearing the proper uniform at all times Complete all required training courses and learning plans on Rally Point Perform all technician duties accurately and efficiently, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-offs, and other light maintenance services Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians Support the management team by assuming leadership responsibilities when necessary Uphold company policies and promote a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure exceptional service Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed Qualifications/ Physical Requirements Proven technical ability and experience working on various makes and models of vehicles Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism Commitment to completing all required training and learning plans Ability to follow company policies and procedures consistently Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot deep pit safely Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform manual tasks for extended periods Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Alertness and situational awareness in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
