Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Provides radiologist with pertinent clinical information. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of the modalities and related equipment. Performs routine protocols and positions patients correctly using appropriate technical skills, Participates in the quality, process and performance improvement initiatives as requested. Performs timely documentation in radiology computer systems. Meets departmental performance expectations and Customer Service Standards of Excellence. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Multi-modality Technologist is responsible for following established departmental protocols and providing Radiologists with the best possible images for interpretation while maintaining the highest-level patient care and assessment. Provides the radiologist with pertinent clinical information. Safety is an important aspect of the job due to the magnetic field strength of the MRI scanner. Multi-modality technologist who registeres in MRI will ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. He or she coordinates the intra-departmental communications to ensure that exams are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures quality of care and the best possible patient outcomes. Qualifications EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program, CT/MRI registry eligible Associate's Degree preferred EXPERIENCE: 2 years clinical experience in more than one modality preferred. ARRT CT/MRI registry eligible required Preferred: ARRT CT or MRI REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Required: ARRT (R) and documentation of CT or MRI experience, must obtain advance credential in CT or MRI within one year of hire.
