Assistant Warehouse Manager (Central) Illinois

Hylan is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to work in its University Park, Illinois office. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will assist with the operation of storeroom/warehouse to include, but not limited to, receiving, stocking, processing, and distribution of materials. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will act as a backup to the Inventory Control Manager in his/her absence. Duties and responsibilities • Receive, inspect and store all standard and special order parts • Track and maintain proper stock levels • Conduct complete inventories, as well as daily cycle counts • Issue parts and equipment to workers and follow established procedures • Operate forklift for loading and unloading work trucks and yard materials • Responsible for building maintenance and scheduling all necessary inspections and repairs • Maintain the warehouse and yard, ensuring both are in a neat and orderly fashion • Replenish and maintain all stone, sand, etc. to adequate levels • Maintain tool repairs and maintenance • Directly supervise staff to complete assigned tasks • Ensure compliance of all safety standards • Maintain daily workflow • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Class A CDL strongly preferred • Posses knowledge of all parts in the warehouse inventory • Sit down forklift experience strongly preferred • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand and walk frequently • Ability to work well with others, both internally and externally • Strong interpersonal and communication skills Working conditions Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions as this position may require working outside in inclement weather. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
