Warehouse Systems Administrator ILocation: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite) Position Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity A growing, innovation-driven manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Systems Administrator I to support the day-to-day performance and usability of warehouse technology systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping by supporting warehouse management systems and related tools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build expertise in warehouse systems, operations technology, and process improvement within a collaborative environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration & Support Administer users, roles, and permissions in warehouse systems Monitor system health and escalate issues when needed Serve as first point of contact for warehouse system questions and tickets Troubleshoot and resolve issues, documenting solutions for future reference Partner with IT and external vendors to resolve system-related challenges Operations Support Provide clear, role-based guidance to warehouse staff on system use Help translate process improvement requests into system configuration changes Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend system-driven improvements Participate in testing system enhancements and integrations Data & Reporting Validate inventory and transaction data accuracy Support reporting and data exports for Operations and Supply Chain teams System Implementation Assist with planning and deployment of warehouse execution tools Support configuration, monitoring, user setup, and change control activities Qualifications 0-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, IT support, or system administration Familiarity with warehouse workflows (receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping) Exposure to ERP, WMS, or similar enterprise systems preferred Strong organizational and documentation skills Customer-service mindset and ability to support frontline teams Comfortable using RF scanners, label printers, and floor technology Basic Excel skills or simple SQL knowledge for data lookups and exports Ability to manage tickets and requests through a tracking system Nice to Have Experience as a WMS super-user or administrator Familiarity with labeling software and barcode formats Understanding of inventory control practices (cycle counts, lot/serial tracking, bin locations) Experience with shipping or carrier systems Exposure to UAT and change control processes Interest in pursuing WMS certifications Familiarity with Jira or Confluence Basic exposure to SQL or light programming concepts Why This Role is a Great Fit Strong entry point into warehouse technology and systems Opportunity to learn and grow in system administration Hands-on exposure to operations and supply chain systems Collaborative team environment Clear path for skill development and certification
