Billing Specialist Manager: Therapy Manages the Therapy Billing Specialists, Billing Coordinator, Registration team, including Registration Supervisors and their Patient Service Representatives. Provides leadership and coaching for the area of Registration, check-in/out, Scheduling, and related services to best support the clinical administrative departments resulting in excellent patient experiences and outcomes. Develop, manage, and sustain a high-performing administrative work team that consistently delivers on expectations, and achieves both service and financial performance targets. Creates, maintains, and controls (audits) standard work procedures for billing specialists, registration supervisors and PSR's. Continuously improves processes to meet the evolving requirements of patient experience. Management of supply orders for therapy administrative staff. Management of revenue cycle therapy dashboard to avoid denials of charges and eliminate non reimbursable therapy visits. Fills role of therapy billing specialist for team members on vacation or out on sick leave. Skills and abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with internal and external customers; ability to work with all levels of the organization and to work as a member of a team. Track record of maintaining quality standards and implementing quality initiatives for therapy administrative team. Ability to evaluate budget performance to achieve financial expectations. Demonstrated ability to interview, select, train, and develop qualified administrative therapy staff. Competence in administrative staff development and performance evaluations. Ability to develop and articulate goals and promote organizational strategies. Ability to assess the performance of individuals, establish performance standards, implement change, implement accountability and reward achievement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power Point, Word. This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce.
